year. After graduating from Clemson University and spending two years in the Army
Corps of Engineers, founder Donald A. Gardner became a registered architect. Over
the next dozen years, he gained experience in commercial, institutional, industrial
and residential design.

Recognizing his talents and interests lie in residential design, Gardner discovered
a void in the market for livable house plans that would meet the needs of modern
families with busy lifestyles. With a passion to create homes to fill this need, he
founded Donald A. Gardner Architects, Inc. in 1978.
